A little secret about me is that I absolutely love Sezane… and yet I rarely buy it. Sometimes I just go to their website to just get lost in the vibes and the styles. I’ll screen shot outfits, I’ll load a cart and I see that little 30 minute timer in the cart telling it’s now or never to check out. I look at the cart and we both know it’s never. I call this style osmosis where I’m hoping the styling imbeds in my brain and takeovers from there.

But since I rarely check out there, I tend to find myself find Sezane-like styles elsewhere and you will never believe where I found these pieces. (I mean you will if you read Monday’s post but whatever.) It’s GAP. This whole outfit is Gap. Gonna tell my grandkids it was Sezane.

One thing that I’ve taking away from my time studying Sezane is their love of button down shirts and tailored jackets. I too have a love for these things, but it’s a harder go for someone with bigger boobs and broad shoulders. Button down shirts are a frenemy most days and to be honest, the stars have to all align for a button down blouse to look great on me. It’s a damn science trying to get my checklist in a ready to wear blouse. No gaps at the chest, broad enough at the shoulders but still tailored, and of course, no weird vibes. So in my last venture in Gap I found this oversized striped shirt and immediately thought of Sezane. I crossed my fingers hoping it fit and it did. And I am here to tell you — if you are a big chested lady, the oversized button down is your best friend. The Big Shirt from Gap (which feels weird to type out but I swear that’s the name) is the answer to my button down prayers of all these years. Plus the cotton is crisp and it keeps shape and structure throughout the day.

I am in the medium and it truly fits oversized. I absolutely love this blue striped version, which reminds me so much of Sezane, but there are other colors for you to enjoy as well. Find it here.

Another one to add to the evidence list that Gap is channeling Sezane energy right now is this trench. I paired this cropped trench with the striped blouse / wide leg jeans look and 10 outta 10 on this whole vibe. It’s French girl chic without the French girl price. I’m telling you, Gap is being sneaky chic right now. Also I am in the M/L of the jacket (Weird sizing I know) and it runs generously. Find it here.

(PS: I rented my bag! There is a bag rental service that’s lets you rent designer bags each month. You can get your first one free using KENDISKEEN at checkout!)
