Hello, my friends. As you know it is Friday which can only mean one thing: It’s what I wore last week-ish time! You know when I started these posts back in 2024 out of necessity, I didn’t think it was going to be as popular as it has become. So thank you for rallying behind these posts, it means something to me. For one it has really pushed me to get dressed most days (it’s a real mental health booster) and it’s pushed me to re-wear my clothes in the best way possible. Having style blogged for a decade and a half, I can get into a bad cycle of new, new, new!  which I hate to admit this but makes me little lazy when it comes to maximum styling. If something is always new, I don’t really have to dig deep into my brain to re-style something over and over again. It’s also been a nice reminder that sometimes I like to wear the same outfit over and over, which is like the most normal thing ever, of course. But as I said, being a style blogger for most of my adult life has really shaped my brain in peculiar ways. I’m trying to re-route some to those thoughts and processes these days but it takes time and these kind of posts really help.

Anyways, long way to say I’m glad you like these posts because I do too! They’re a fun personal challenge and I gotta say my selfie game has never been better. Let’s see this last week was a bit of a blur, but I say that every week so maybe I should check on my  short term memory? Either way, let’s get to the outfits!

Friday | Worked at a coffee shop

I’ve been working from a coffee shop a lot lately just because I’ve been finding that my house is a little too quiet. I need the hustle and bustle of a coffee shop to focus. And I’ve been working on something that I hope you’ll like! But it also gives me a reason to get dressed, too. The only place I go looking like a goblin is drop off at school. I get dressed for no one before 8 am.

This cardigan is one of my first purchases for 2026! It’s of course Quince. I have this cardigan in the black size medium and I wanted it to fit a little looser so I bought this one in navy in large for spring. One of my favorite pieces from Quince, tbh. So soft and luxurious fitting. I just know I’ll wear it all spring long.

Saturday | Valentine’s Date

You know it’s a special edition of WIWLW-ish when B makes a selfie appearance! We took advantage of our daughter’s PNO at school and booked a little evening at our favorite wine bar in Dallas. Sometimes I forget we live in a major city and that others also live in this major metroplex and it makes things busy. By February 1st, all of our favorite haunts were booked because as it turns out EVERYONE wants to celebrate Valentine’s, too. But I remembered this wine bar and we found a little table just for us and all the other slacker couples who forgot to make reservations back in January.

I wore these polka dot pants again because I love them and never want to part from them. Oh and I couldn’t think of what else to wear, so I just tossed these babies back on. Was it the most valentines themed outfit? No, but it got me out the door and for that I appreciate it. I swear to god though if I don’t plan my outfits ahead of time I’m always fretting and I just reach for the easiest things I know. For this outfit, it was my favorite J.Crew oversized sweater (now sold out I believe) and these pants I rented. 10/10 would wear this outfit again.

Sunday | Brunch + photo shoot

You know this outfit because I posted it the other day, but I thought I’d share it here! Good news — this color of the sweater is back in stock! I’m in the large and it runs loose, so no need to size up unless you like a really relaxed fit. The color is Herbed Green, the perfect pistachio green I’ve ever seen.

The pants runs snug at the waist, I am in the 10 and they’re fitted. If I had to order them again, I’d go with the tall for extra length as these are the regular here.

Monday | coffee shop + playground

We had a four day weekend off school and I don’t know what it is but I can not work with my kid in the house. So I packed my laptop up and headed to a coffee shop that was next to a playground on Monday. It was chilly but the patio was kind of perfect for this oversized sweater. I know I don’t have much longer to wear her, so getting in as much wear as I can. Also Muffin decided to pose for a selfie too. What a natural.

Tuesday | WFH + Soccer Practice

I saw this outfit on a girl in a parking lot and made a mental note to replicate the exact outfit. And would you look at that? This outfit looked good on her, looks good on me. Thank you blue jean baby parking lot denim queen, you’ve inspired me.

I wore these Spanx jeans all week. They’re my favorite favorites right now. I would prefer a medium but beggars can’t be choosers ok? (I was gifted them lol) So I’ll keep wearing these with just a bit of looseness. It’s all good, but do take your normal size in Spanx denim. (I reviewed them all here if you missed it!)

Picked up this Gap denim shirt for a try on and immediately loved it. It’s a mix between a denim jacket and a button down blouse. Softer than a denim jacket but more structure than a soft chambray. Absolutely recommend — I’m in the medium, nice oversize fit.

Wednesday | WFH + school conference meeting

I’ve been loving this oversized blazer + wide leg jeans silhouette lately. Overall it’s a very oversized look in general, which kind of goes against everything I’ve ever learned about dressing for my body type…. and I love that about it.  Oversized but still very tailored and very right now. I probably would pair this with heels if I were to wear it again but I went with my pointed flats and loved the look. As you know, this is very favorite blazer! Under $100 here.

Thursday | Work from home

This outfit started as a work from home but I also had a few errands to run so the shoes had to join the outfit, too. You know what? Adding in the heavy earrings and nude accessories kind of made this very casual outfit, very chic. Just goes to show you that accessories do more for an outfit than you think.

Again with the spanx jeans! I’m telling you they are that good…

  1. my favoRITE series! And I don’t know why this particular post makes me *so curious* what type of lighting you use for your mirror selfies! might just be poor lighting at my home, but i am jealous 🙂

    1. I have a skylight above me!! This is a weird little half room in our house with a skylight so I use it as my office / closet. Sometimes I also use a ring light to my left on a warmer set tone and that helps too on grey days. I also boost my photos with contrast and make them a touch brighter so they look a little clearer. 🙂
