Hello, my friends. It’s Friday and I did it yet again; I selfied all week long. And not only that but I got dressed all week too and let me tell you this one was a rough one. The week before my period is always the worst. I mean next week will suck too but in a different way. My leggings weren’t just calling for me this week, they were practically throwing themselves at me. So props to myself for putting on button fly jeans instead of my sweet, sweet leggings. On top of that, I also feel all over the place mentally. So if my outfits feel a bit off, blame the hormones? In fact you can do that for the next 5-10 years. I hear perimenopause is a blast.

As you’ll see this week I was trying to get the most wear out of all of my Nuuly this month (I return it next week) so I really took it into overdrive and tried to wear it all this week. It’s been warm here in the afternoons but cool in the morning and I honestly hate this transitional period because I am NEVER correct. Is it going to be warm or cold? YES. Like how do you dress for that?! And don’t tell me layers or light jackets, I don’t want to hear it. Don’t you dare give me practical advice that I can actually use! I’m like a kid who refuses to wear a coat on Halloween. And I ain’t never gonna change.

Enough already, let’s get to this week’s outfits!

Friday | WFH + errands

I ordered some random things from Gap Factory and ended up loving this denim skirt. It’s a lightweight skirt with a straight front but elastic waist band. It’s a light weight chambray but holds its shape pretty well, not like a typical stiff denim skirt. It’s 100% cotton, as well. Anyways I wore the day I got it in the mail I liked it so much!

I paired with this easy peasy boatneck sweater from Quince that runs kinda big. I’m in the medium. It’s under $50, too! I love their cotton fisherman knit, it’s the best and so affordable. Side note, I always have imposter syndrome when I’m wearing loafers. Like who is this girl? Am I a preppy, J.Crew cool girl  or is this an old man’s shoe I just found? Hard to say.

Saturday | brunch + errands

Really giving this jumpsuit a go because I’m not always a fan of jumpsuits. This one is super soft and very comfortable to wear and it’s long enough everywhere. I paired with the sneakers thinking I could dress it down a bit but honestly with my hair up and the mock neck, it’s giving state dinner. I might go baseball hat next time, a lighter sneaker, maybe even toss on a denim jacket? I’ll report back on the next WIWLW-ish if I indeed wear that outfit.

I’m in the medium, by the way! Highly recommend!

Sunday | Date night

I actually shot this outfit with the big camera for the blog but I didn’t end up liking this outfit after we shoot it. But it selfie’s okay so here it is! This happens every once in a while, something will look okay in theory but it just doesn’t shoot well for whatever reason. But IRL this outfit felt cute, was easy to wear and I liked it so here it is in lo-fi form. Also, this top is back in full stock in the medium wash! I am in the size medium and it fits truly oversized.

I can’t decide if these polka dot pants are going back to Nuuly next week or not…they’re my very favorite. What do you think?!

Monday | Coffee with friend

Another Nuuly rental piece this week — wait, two actually! This is actually just a repeat of this outfit here, but why does it feel so different with my hair up? I can’t tell if it seems more casual or more dressed up. Either way, loved this outfit and will be sad to see her go.

I’m in the large of the cardigan (I find AM runs small) and the 30 of the Agolde jeans, perfect fit and plenty long.

Tuesday | Work at home

I love both of these pieces from my Gap try on and wearing them together felt like a no-brainer. These pants are a loose fit, very comfortable (especially when you’re bloated) but they wear well and do not wrinkly too easily. They’re a nice departure from a very structured trouser.

Wednesday | Therapy, Dinner Date

We went to our favorite Mexican place Wednesday night and I’ll be honest, I tossed this on last minute. I was already wearing these jeans but I think I just had a sweatshirt on and sneakers. I wanted to dress up a touch more so I grabbed this very trusty sweater and slipped on my favorite flats. And just like that I had an easy, classic look. I’l be sad to send this sweater back next week, as I’ve worn it so much this month! (It runs generously, this is the large and it runs big.)

Thursday | WFH

I just need you to know that every time I write ‘work from home’ the Fifth Harmony song ‘Work From Home’ plays on a loop in my head. And now I hope I’ve cursed you with this spell now, too.

I love this striped tee so much, it’s so soft and easy to wear. I do think it’ll be a bit warm to wear into summer but that’s okay. She can be my fall-spring striped option. I paired this with these Agolde’s that I actually really liked. I liked them the more I wore them which usually doesn’t happen, it’s usually the opposite. I usually like a jean then hate it the longer I own it. It’s a fatal flaw of mine, but it does help keep my pre-loved shop stocked.
