You know, silk pants were not on my bingo card this year for fall. But honestly they make a lot of sense to add into the mix this fall. Hear me out on this: as an alternative to denim this fall, we’ve added in trousers in the past few seasons but adding in a softer look like this silk pair of pants gives us even more breadth in our closet. A trouser can be casual or workplace friendly, but this pair of silk pants is all business. She’s fancy, she’s elevated, she’s silk for goodness sake. And the best part is they are wildly comfortable to wear and honestly? Not that hard to style. (I’ll give you guys more ideas for these this month!
I found these pants from Quince and they’re a gorgeous silk, super soft and the weight is just right. They are not sheer or clingy. (I’ve not washed them yet so I can’t tell you how that turns out! But when I do, I’ll wash delicates, cold and hang to dry then give them a steam.) I sized up to a large for length and I didn’t want to chance this being too tight and I like that they’re a bit looser overall. In my professional opinion, I would say they run true to size. If you want a looser fit at the waist or perhaps extra length, go up one size.

I’m in the large of the ribbed tank, it is a fitted look so I went up a size. I don’t mind tailored top but a too tight shirt is nightmare fuel to me. So if have bigger boobs, are in between sizes and want some wiggle room, go up one size. Let’s talk about its wearability — it’s a really nice layering piece year round. Under a blazer would look nice and it doesn’t wrinkle, so it works well for travel. Obviously paring it with these silk pants it’s a winner, with or without the jacket.
