When I saw this jacket at Madewell the other day, I just knew it was going to be an instant match with this J.Crew skirt. I mean I figured it wouldn’t be too far off because they’re sisters after all (J.Crew and Madewell, that is) so I knew they’d be similar-ish. And boy howdy was I right. Look at these two! Separated at birth, sisters from other misters, truly meant to be together. To be fair I’d probably worn them together even if it was a mismatch, I’m just that stubborn.
This dark rinse for denim is catching my eye right now. Dark denim is always a yes for fall, of course, but in the last few years we’ve — or well I’ve — leaned more into black or dark grey jeans for fall. But this dark rinse has me rethinking a lot of my denim choices this fall. I also have a pair of dark denim flare jeans from last winter that will fit right into this rotation I’ve got going on for fall. I also like that *most* of the time a dark rinse denim will have a bit of stretch to it. I’m not sure why and maybe this is more coincidence than science, but I do love a stretchy dark denim. (This jacket has a nice amount of bounce to it as well!)
